Having started his career as a fashion photographer, kazuaki kiriya came to film by way of acclaimed music videos for Japanese teen idols before crossing over to feature films like Casshern (2004), Goemon (2009) and the The Last Knights (2014). Kazuaki’s work is unique in that it makes the digital world so relatable, infused with emotion, rich with textures and references that span across various histories and references from film, theater and art.
